Steel handlebar Drag Bar Wide LD2

Typical flat dragbar handlebars for choppers, bobbers, fighters and muscle bikes, made in Germany, with ABE for both versions (inch version - 25.4mm or metric version - 22mm). Underlines the flat, dragster-like, stretched look of the vehicle. Available in the following versions:

‘DRAG BAR WIDE":
high-gloss chrome-plated or black-coated steel handlebars in 22 mm (metric) or 25.4 mm (imperial) diameter, dimensions: W: 835, H: 0, D: 99.

The black, imperial version has ‘HD dimples’. These indentations on the left and right at the bottom of the handlebar allow the mounting of Harley-Davidson switch controls from 1982 onwards. However, this ‘dimple’ does not restrict the use of the handlebar on vehicles from other manufacturers or on Harleys before 1982 and is not visible to the driver.

Note: The accessory handlebars are supplied without a hole for the switch unit lock. These are positioned differently depending on the motorcycle model. It is permissible to drill the handlebar for the lock: To do this, align your new handlebar optimally with the vehicle. Now mount the switch units, check that there is sufficient clearance to the tank when the steering is fully turned, mark the hole for the lock and drill the handlebar to the appropriate diameter. If you want to avoid the drill slipping off the smooth steering tube when converting the handlebars, or if you tend to ‘go wrong’ when centre-punching or somehow always drill crookedly into the workpiece, you should use the Rothewald drilling template, order no. No. 10029799 (see image below) – better safe than sorry, with this template, such mistakes cannot happen.
